About us
The forerunner of the company was established in 1982 by the current Managing Director, John. We specialise in providing school transport, including transporting adults and children with additional needs on behalf of the Local Authority. This can include social service contracts to and from respite centres and other aspects of social care.
We are a family run business, with the day-to-day running of the business being undertaken by Laura and Katie, who are always available to discuss any special requirements with parents, social services administrators and schools regarding contracts undertaken by the company.
Contract Plus (SW) Ltd currently operates a fleet of 24 private hire licensed vehicles of various seating capacities, including a wheelchair accessible vehicle. We are based in Launceston and operate throughout North and East Cornwall and West and Mid Devon. All our drivers and passenger assistants are carefully selected and DBS checked. They undergo training as required under Local Authority procedures and are approved to carry out contracts for Cornwall Council’s Passenger Transport Unit.
We have been successfully serving clients for more than 35 years. The vehicles we offer are thoroughly checked and well-maintained at all times.
Safe transportation for school children
You can count on our drivers to transport your children safely. Our services are leased through Cornwall Council to provide reliable transport for school and social service contracts. Rest assured, all our vehicles are maintained to a high standard by a local, professional garage and all undertake a six-monthly M.O.T test by a local authority approved test centre, to ensure they will always be in exceptional condition and safe to drive.

All our drivers hold a private hire vehicle license and are registered with Cornwall Council's Passenger Transport Unit, they all undertake the necessary training required by Cornwall Council and are fully DBS checked.
